COVID 19 update 35,776,096 total cases, 616,463 deaths. New cases 759,591, an increase of 28,446 from last week. Deaths 3,544, up 495 from last week. Amount of new cases reported has held steady at 1.79% for the last ten weeks. This week it was 1.72% Mortalities were 502/ day, an increase of 69 per day from last week. Overall, the number has dropped to 1,053/day.

Top countries in mortalities, US 616K, Brazil 562K, India 427k and Mexico 244K. Six states, NY, NY CT, CA, MA, WA. account for 24.902% of cases and 29% of mortalities. TX and FL respectively 17% and 15%. FL and NJ have the highest infection rate/population 13% and 12%. NY and TX are 11%. Of the big four, new cases reported, NY 22,423, CA 78,032, TX 97,178 and FL 134,751. They account for 43% of the new cases reported. That’s a drop of 22% from last week.
Worldwide, the US accounts for 17.778% of cases and 14,428% of mortalities. Is there a surge going on? Yes. States that reported more than 100 deaths last week: FL 616, TX 386, CA 315, LA 211, MO 180, AR 149, AZ 130, and NC 101.
