COVID, World War Two and the bias media

TX and FL 1.183,439, 8% of cases and 42,154 deaths, 15%. It is the 4th leading cause of death in the US. Death rate versus known cases, 1.92% and falling. US infection rate, .9005%, mortality rate, .0852%. States with the biggest increases: PN, IN, MN, CO, WI, IA NB, MO, KS, KY, NW, SD, OR, ID, ME, WV, VT,WY,  MT, AK, All twenty mentioned account for an increase of 1.907 deaths. Each one had an increase of 10% and over for new deaths. Worldwide, US accounts for 21.997% of known cases and 18.376% of mortalities. Comparison to other countries mortalities to population: Peru, .1113%, Spain,.0990%, Italy .0988% England, .0915%, Mexico .0874%, US .0852%, Brazil .0843%,  France, .0839% and Columbia .0748%. Sweden that didn’t shut down .0686%. These numbers come from the CDC and John Hopkins.

How is the state, that according to their immaculate and intelligent, Governor Cuomo doing? In the last two weeks, he, who has it under control, only had an increase of 105,315 new cases. Well done, Andrew. Amazing that Crown even published this crap! A good analogy for those of us who have studied World War Two, Montgomery was convinced, “Operation Market Garden,” would end the war by Christmas, 1944. Not only did the operation fail, on December 16th, the Germans shocked the British and American forces with the launch of “Wacht on Rhein.” Or for the layman, “Battle of the Bulge,” In the aftermath, Monty claimed he held the Northern flank of the main armor thrust of the 6th SS panzer army under Sepp Dietrich. In fact, if it was Hodges army and Ridgeway’s fast thinking that blocked the Northern thrust. But like Cuomo, Monty wanted false credit. Too bad Eisenhower didn’t fire him when he had the chance. Perhaps New Yorkers will wake up and throw out this fraudulent leader.

It amazes me how soft a majority of Americans have become. How many debates have you seen or been involved in about the mortality rates? For me, too many. A few friends have told me what I post is drivel and useless, yet they have no stats themselves and I fall back on my research when the debates begin. One individual last posted 2800 per day and he’s an at large Senator from D.C. Perhaps on a single day, but since it erupted in the US it is 1148/day, not 2800. I have challenged him with no response. Okay, got off topic for a minute, back to my comment on Americans.

During World War Two’s six years, between 40 to 60 million died. That is an average of 18-27K deaths per day. While the US suffered 450K KIA, the rest was shouldered by Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia, North Africa and Asia. Great Britain didn’t throw their hat when the BEF was routed and ran back to England to regroup. They didn’t throw up their hands when 40K died, in six months, during the Blitz. Even though the Russians kept surrendering hundreds of thousands of hectares and horrendous loses, they refused to raise a white flag. No, they banded together, learned from past mistakes and moved forward to victory. The US did the same after Peral Harbor. On December 6th, 1941, “it was a European affair, nothing to concern us.” That all changed the next day. I shutter to think how FDR would have been treated by today’s press for the surprise attack. Instead of rallying the people to stand up to tyranny and fascism, they would have filled their papers with attacks on Roosevelt, King, Nimitz and Marshall. Sound familiar? It should.

We have been at war with a virus that has been all encompassing. Every country, in one way of the other has been affected by the Wuhan Virus and have been struggling to counter its affects and despite the numbers going up, it appears we are on the path to victory. This is good news, but you wouldn’t know that by today’s media coverage. They have done nothing but tear down the sitting president and blame him for everything that has happened and are now trying to give Biden credit for defeating the virus. How does that work? Yes, I heard Mary Anne Marsh make that claim, in an attempt to discredit everything Trump has done. What a bunch of crap! How can a country come together when a media intent on destroying a sitting president? We didn’t see this in the 20th century, at least not at the current level of vileness, twenty-four hours a day. It started rearing its ugly head in the 2000 election and has only ramped up over the last twenty years, especially, the last four.    In order for Americans to come together and unite, as Joe said, and Donald has been trying to do, the real culprit today, is the media. While weathermen and sports analysts can be wrong, 95% of the time, the media should not have that luxury. They must be factual and correct and not just first with their quote, “breaking news.” Perhaps it will take more cases like Richard Jewell and Nick Sandmann to put the media in their place and start reporting the news instead of slanting it to their own special interest groups. Because for me, they only report 10% of the news with 90% opinions.

It is time for Americans to take a page from history and come together as Americans and not parrots for their party or the unhinged media.
