News Update 3-1-2021
So where are we this find Monday morning? Well, if you listen to the media, you don’t have a clue or you have a slight bit of info that can be spun anyway you wish. Let’s dive right in
CPAC was a big hit if you’re a Republican. Biggest cheer leading event of 2021 according to FOX. If you’re a Democrat it was a fringe event run by radicals on the right according to CNN.
FOX had Jim Jordan. CNN had Barbara Comstock and Evan McMulin. Of course, Jordan was upbeat about the three day event and how the crowd still loves Donald. While Comstock and McMulin were disgusted by it. Both of them were against Trump running in ’16. How’d that work out. Comstock got hammered in her re-election bid in ’18 56-44. McMulin, ex-CIA has had a difficult time keeping a job and had a failed Presidential run in ’16. I don’t consider those credible sources for an un-bias take. That goes for FOX also.
So, what happened at CPAC? Trump did what he does best, energized the attendees. Isn’t that’s what supposed to happen? Would you go to a home coming pep rally and want the coach to tell you the team you are going up against is going to beat the hell out of your team? Don’t think that’s going to go over well and I doubt many would show up for the next rally. Would you?
Donald once again went over the election results. Still believe 72% of registered voters, not eligible voters, as most articles say, voted in 2020? There were 214,179,567 registered voters for the 2020 election. Compare that to 58% of registered voters that voted in 2016. Okay, enough of that.
He claimed that he was responsible for going 120-122 in the House and 21-0 in the Senate races. Ah, no. the house races, correct, the Senate, he did back Loeffler and Perdue. That would be 21-2 Get the numbers right Donald. On the WHO, someone tell me why we are the largest supporter at 24% of the total WHO budget? He brought up many other solid points on policies, but I won’t get into those.
Should Donald run in 2024? In my humble opinion, no. He will be 78. While he has a tremendous amount of energy, right now, he will be 78. He needs to get behind a young, strong conservative and support them whether, male or female.
Moving on.
Tell me why VOX is going after Dolly Parton? Because she isn’t being political? She did an interview after her appearance with Lilly Tomlin and Jane Fonda at the 2017 Emmy Awards. Lilly and Jane vented their anger at Donald Trump while Dolly stayed classy. In her interview she made it very clear why she doesn’t discuss politics. She has fans on both sides of the spectrum and will not damage her career. He politics are her own personal private life. What a refreshing statement. Imagine if more stars would take her lead.
Now for the current bill in the Senate. This nothing short of a major boondoggle and graft. I reviewed multiple sites, VOX, NPR and Washington Post. When all the numbers are added up by the provided bullet points and major areas of concern, there is still a balance of 891 billion unaccountable dollars. How does that work? The big winners in the bill are states in distress. They will receive 350 billion dollars. For what? Unemployment is 2nd at 136 billion. Tell me why we need to bail-out pension funds, the US postal service, higher education again, transportation and others. That money is needed, but it only took eight months for families to receive $1400.00. How many mortgage or rent payments does that cover? One? Here is a breakdown on what money is supposed to cover. You make the call on what could be eliminate since Joe can’t figure it out. I came up with 477 billion.

I think that about wraps it up. Oh, wait. A school district in Virginia just canceled Dr. Seuss Day? What ignorant can one be? Something about his books having racial undertones? Perhaps they should bone up how he came up with the books. Would you rather read, “See Dick Run,” or “The Cat in the Hat?” Amazing how a school district is going after a man who made reading fun for tens of millions of children.
