COVID 19 UPDATE WE 10-17-2021

 

COVID 19 update 44,892,707 total cases, 724,317 deaths. New cases 679,564 a decrease of 93,840 from last week. Deaths 10,992, down 1,286 from last week. Mortalities were 10580/ day, a decrease of 153 per day from last week. The average death toll per day for the last 655 days is 1,105. And increase of 5 from last week.

Worldwide Ranking mortalities/population, Peru (not sure about their numbers ?) Peru .6146%, Bosnia .3366% Brazil .2879%, Columbia .22519%. Mexico .2271%, Italy .2182%, US .2195%, England .2078% Spain .1861%, France .1765% and Sweden .1452%. Top countries in mortalities, US 724K, Brazil 603K, India 452k and Mexico 284K.Top mortality countries last week, US 10,992, Russia 6,735, Brazil 2,323 Mexico 2,711, India 1,535, Iran 1,506. Six states, NY, NY CT, CA, MA, WA.  account for 23.586% of cases and 26% of mortalities. TX and FL respectively 17% and 18%. FL has the highest infection rate/population 17%.  TX, 14%, NJ, NY 13%, MA, CA. 12% and CN 11%. Of the big four, new cases reported, NY 32,160, CA 38,447, TX 41,639 and FL 18,220. They account for 22% of the new cases reported. Survival rate is 98.39% of those infected. The good news, cases are dropping dramatically with the big four.

          Worldwide, the US accounts for 20.456% of cases and 15.927% of mortalities. Is there a surge going on? Appears the numbers are started to level out. States that reported more than 100 deaths were 34. Top four TX. 1,384 FL 1,192, CA 622 844 and GA 596.  

          Vaccination rates 36.4% world wide. United States 57.3% The number for the US is a far cry from the statement Psaki stated that 80% of the US is vaccinated. I guess her team can’t look up simple stats!
