COVID 19 UPDATE WE 8-15-2021

 

COVID 19 update 36,684,028 total cases, 621,051 deaths. New cases 907,932, an increase of  148,341  from last week. Deaths 4,588, up 1,044 from last week. Amount of new cases reported, 1.72% for the last ten weeks. This week it was 1.69% Mortalities were 647/ day, an increase of 145 per day from last week. Overall, the number has dropped to 1,0/44day.

Worldwide Ranking mortalities/population, Bosnia .2939%, Brazil .2715%, Columbia .2450%. Italy .2131%, Mexico .1982%, England .1964%, US .1882%, Spain .1765%, France .1709% and Sweden .1423%. Top countries in mortalities, US 621K, Brazil 568K, India 431k and Mexico 248K.  Six states, NY, NY CT, CA, MA, WA.  account for 24.731% of cases and 29% of mortalities. TX and FL respectively 17% and 15%. FL has the highest infection rate/population 13%. NJ 12%, NY, MA, CA and TX 11%. Of the big four, new cases reported, NY 28.443, CA 92,704, TX 97,559 and FL 151,943. They account for 41% of the new cases reported. That’s a drop of 2% from last week.  

          Worldwide, the US accounts for 17.739% of cases and 14,4261% of mortalities. Is there a surge going on?  Yes. States that reported more than 100 deaths last week: FL 1,071, TX 653, CA -102 (how’d that happen?), LA 309, MO 203, GE 171, NV & AR 155, AL 141, MS 140, NY 123 and TN 109.

          For some reason, there have been no new numbers reported from PR, Guan, USVI or North Marianas for the last three weeks, I wonder why.
